a physical installation of an early 2000s computer setup with an online, real-time collaborative website where anyone could type HTML to insert a little blurb about one’s self, while faint MIDI music played in the background. the project served to give participants a taste of period-appropriate HTML website editing while presented as a time capsule corner.

a multiplayer game where one person navigates a trap-laden dungeon in first person, while the other player sets off traps in hopes of catching the person trying to escape. LED visual and audio cues tell the “trap master” when to strike, but if they get the timing wrong, the escaper wins. the game was built up with what was available in my university’s makerspace and extra cardboard.

a project centered around a modified radio and a story of searching for extraterrestrial signals with it, complete with authentic tinny sound reproduced by the radio’s original speaker and sound enclosure. under the hood, an Arduino microcontroller sends and reads data to and from Unity, allowing for the tuning knobs to be dialed in on the real radio with an immediate response within the Unity app window.

a deep dive into unity’s timeline functions, mixamo, and adobe premiere to make a video tied to a specific song. i had picked Ghostwriter by RJD2 and centered the music video around coloring an otherwise dull world, timed to the beat of the song to the best of my ability and what premiere allowed me to do. it was only used for basic clip trimming and compositing - everything else happens in unity alone.

this was a collaborative project where me, Angelo L. and Steph R. had combined separate interactions from a previous project into a single interactive experience. we had all designed some 3D models from scratch along with it, but much of my contributions were getting my part of the interaction working, as well as ripping the graphics from the phone the project was centered around.

an animated, infinitely looping display utilizing the Looking Glass Portrait, powered almost exclusively from Unity coroutines, showing a truncated evolution of mobile phones over the years. it features simplified specs and gimmicks from each phone displayed.
